Karim Farouk Jalloul was born in 1966 in Beirut, Lebanon. In his early childhood his family moved to Austria. He graduated at the International Center for Hospitality Management MODUL in Vienna in 1993.

His field of activity is broad. He is Managing Director and Owner’s Representative of four luxury hotels in Austria, the Grand Hotel Vienna, The Ring, Vienna´s Casual Luxury Hotel, Lake´s in Pörtschach, and Palais Schwarzenberg in Vienna, which is currently in planning phase.
He is also a member of the Management Board of Erste Wiener Hotel AG and Owner’s Representative of JJA Beteiligunsverwaltungs GMBH.

Apart from his management positions in the hotel industry, he works as lecturer at the International Center for Hospitality since 2000. Furthermore, he is member of the Executive Club of the college of higher education Vienna, member of the University Council of Modul University Vienna and Co-Chairman of the Industry Advisory Board of Modul University.

Since its founding in 2009, Karim Jalloul holds the position as Vice Chairman of the Dr. Michael Häupl Förderungsfonds, a fond which supports educational activities in the field of Tourism.

Karim Jalloul lives in Austria. He is married and has two sons.
