Slavtcho Neykov, NIS Deputy CEO, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat 2006-2012, commented that, “The key message arising from the discussion was that it is evident that realism and pragmatism are necessary when it comes to strategic energy development, regardless whether we consider interventions by politicians, international organisations or private business. However, it is the politicians who mostly owe a responsibility to society when working to establish a framework which allows adequate development beyond their political mandate.”
